The NIO ET9 will be delivered in the first quarter of 2025, featuring the refined design aesthetics of high-end executive sedans.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicized the 388th batch of the “Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products”. Among them, the NIO ET9 is included. This model was officially unveiled at the end of last year and is positioned as a high-end executive sedan. It integrates a number of cutting-edge technologies of NIO, and the announced pre-sale price is 800,000 yuan. According to the plan, this model will be delivered to customers in the first quarter of 2025.

In terms of exterior design, the NIO ET9 inherits the brand’s design language and presents a simple and refined aesthetic. The front part of the vehicle is equipped with split headlights, and at the same time, it integrates the watchtower-style lidar and front-view cameras. The newly added wide-angle lidars on both sides enhance the vehicle’s lateral perception ability.

Viewed from the side, the ET9 adopts a smooth fastback design, integrating the design elements of a coupe SUV. Its body dimensions are 5325mm × 2017mm × 1621mm, and the wheelbase is 3250mm, comparable to high-end models such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series, and the Porsche Panamera Executive Extended Version on the market. Such dimensions and modern design endow the ET9 with an imposing manner that surpasses models of the same level. At the rear of the vehicle, the ET9 adopts a through-type light strip design and is equipped with an electric rear spoiler, which complements its coupe style well. The rear of the vehicle is also equipped with two rear-side detection lidars, which work in coordination with the front roof radar to achieve 360° all-round perception and significantly improve driving safety. This design not only shows a sense of sportiness but also maintains the steady temperament of a large vehicle. According to official information, the new vehicle will provide five wheel hub styles and four brake calipers for consumers to choose from.

In terms of power, the NIO ET9 is equipped with a front-mounted induction asynchronous motor (180kW) and a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (340kW), with a combined power reaching 520kW. In addition, the vehicle also integrates cutting-edge technologies such as the full-domain 900V high-voltage platform architecture, the active suspension Tianxing chassis system, the Tianzhu SkyOS full-domain operating system, the steer-by-wire technology, the rear-wheel steering system, and the fully active suspension. In terms of the battery, the ET9 is equipped with CATL’s ternary lithium battery and supports 5C fast charging capability. Li Bin, the founder of NIO, humorously pointed out that although the charging speed is fast, NIO’s battery swapping service can be completed in just 3 minutes.
